Just in time for winter

It's been a while but I wanted to pop in and share with you the end to what has been a very exciting project. Do you remember the mantlepiece we installed at the end of last year?


This weekend we were finally able to cosy up next to our new fireplace - that's right, the painting has arrived!

Our good friend Matthew Ryan of Castlemaine spent the past few months painting and drying these works of art and we just couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

And the reverse depicts the slowly fizzling and smouldering remains of a fire once burning bright...

We are just over the moon with these paintings and I know I can look forward to always having a cosy fireplace in our home - wherever we go. Now - where are the marshmallows?
